Platelet-rich plasma
The treatment with Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is completely done with material coming from the patient's own body. Already used by dentists for ages, blood plasma treatment is now also available in cosmetic surgery to help the healing process.
What is PRP?
Platelet-rich plasma is plasma filtered from the patient’s own blood. It contains a high concentration of platelets, which help rejuvenate and hydrate the skin.
How does PRP therapy work?
The first step of the PRP treatment is taking a small amount of the patient’s blood. This blood is then centrifuged, which causes the high concentration of blood platelets. These platelets actively help the regeneration and growth in the body. The plasma is then injected in the necessary body parts, resulting in revitalized and stronger skin.
